dressmaking

I've just got some fabric for a pioneer dress that I want to make. (Think early American, a smock and pinafore affair.) I've got some black poplin cotton for the dress and a heavy cream calico for the apron (nice and rough, while the cotton is soft and light so I won't suffocate). I'll have to sew it by hand since I don't have a sewing machine here at uni but it should be fun. The only drawback is there are buttons, which are the one thing I have real trouble with.

Anyway, the point of posting this here was to ask if any of you would be interested in seeing photos once it's done. I've never posted any sewing before, what do you think?

About the fave. . . Its that I was having probs with a penguin breed presicelly so your concept helps me out a little. Im not taking it from you though so ^^ thanks!
